OUR SCOPE

Taller Salud is based in Loíza, Puerto Rico, a town of 28,000 inhabitants, located 20 miles east of San Juan, with 49% of its population living below the poverty level. We offer services in the metropolitan areas of San Juan and Carolina and in the cities of Canóvanas, Río Grande, Luquillo, Fajardo and the island municipality of Vieques. All of these cities share low health indicators and a high incidence of violence, especially in poor communities. These communities form our base; it is for and by them that Taller Salud exists.
